Breastfeeding
This is it. We've come to the end of our breastfeeding journey, a couple of days short of my second birthday. Some of the significant milestones in our two year journey ...
- April 2007: First time latching on for milk on 7 Apr 07 at 4.30pm
- June 2007: Started drinking EBM using a milk bottle at nanny's home
- August 2007: On frozen EBM for close to two weeks while mama was away in US
- September 2007: Moved on to semi-solids, albeit with poor feeding habits
- March 2008: NAN (HA) used to supplement 50% of milk feeds while mama was away in Cairo. Went back to normal latching and full EBM after the trip
- June 2008: Took to solids a lot better than semi-solids
- June 2008: Rejected the bottle and moved on to cup feeding in school
- August 2008: Formally introduced to FM in diet. Started drinking FM at home using a syringe
- October 2008: Started drinking FM in school using a straw cup
- January 2009: Sporadic night feeds reduced to two standard night feeds, one before bedtime and one at dusk
- March 2009: Bedtime feeds were axed on 12 Mar 09
- March 2009: Dusktime feeds were axed on 26 Mar 09
Playdate with Jayden
Jayden was in a cheery mood yesterday morning, and was more than happy to pose for the camera.
Jayden striking a happy face pose ...
... and Kaizer doing the same likewise, one after the other.
Jayden showed Kaizer how to climb onto the bed, but Kaizer needed some practice before he got it right.
Jayden: "I'll show you my neighbourhood".
Jayden: "That's the carpark downstairs. That's the way to the MRT station."
Jayden demonstrating to Kaizer how to jump up and down like a monkey!
Boys fiddling around with the switches ...
... and trying to get out of the house together. After this picture, both were taking their turns to scale the main gate, what else!
Ribena
Qn: What's sweeter than drinking cool ribena on a warm day?
Ans: Having a friend feed it to you!
Slurp, slurp, slurp ...
Jayden: "Kaizer, it's time for another sip."
Jayden: "There you go ..."
Jayden looking very pleased with himself!
Hello Jaelyn!
We visited auntie Doreen yesterday. Met bb Jaelyn for the first time =)
Hello bb Jaelyn!
She looks like she wants to tell us something.
Oh, she wants to say that she's tired and needs to sleep.
Smiling to us after she's sent her message over!
Breakfast at Macs
Had a cracker at Macs yesterday while waiting for mama to finish her breakfast. I've already had mine (180ml of milk) at home.
Let me spread the margarine for mama ...
... and I'll poke some holes so that the pancake syrup can seep in.
Had lotsa sticky pancake syrup on my hands and mouth after breakfast.

Messy dragonfruit
(Pics taken on Thursday) Papa was too lazy to slice up the red dragonfruit, so I had to deal with it on my own.
Drip, drip, drip ...
Fruit time turned out to be a big mess. Mama had the good sense to undress me beforehand since she knew that eating red dragonfruit isn't going to be a neat affair.
Looking at papa while he's busy laughing at me and snapping away.
Showing papa an irritated face ... was repeatedly chanting that I was "dirty" but papa had not taken up the initiative to scoop me up to bathe yet.

Kinder Surprise!
Trying very hard to prise open the Kinder Surprise from auntie Pauline .... thanks for the gift =)
Cheeky grapes
(Pics taken on Tuesday) Plucking out grapes from the stem very seriously.
Am I supposed to pose for the camera?
I shall give a happy face ...
... and a cheeky one!

New stickers
Por por bought a new stack of pooh stickers for me over the weekend!
Had a very hard time deciding which ones to pick!
Okay, this ...
... goes well on my feet!
Time to go show off my new stickers to the rest of the family!
Hiding under the mattress
Hiding under the mattress, thinking that por por can't see me! Ha!
Camera back in action!
The lens on our camera went wonky last Sunday. After a week at the service centre, it's finally back in action! Here's the first picture taken after we've brought the camera home.

Treats from Changi
(Pics from last Saturday) Since we were at Changi, we
had to eat at Changi Village.
I had an early dinner - my usual fishball mee tai mak. The stall was really generous, as they served us seven fishballs for $3!
I had a good appetite, and finished half of the mee tai mak, along with 3.5 fishballs! Papa and mama wiped out a bowl of mutton soup and minced pork noodle respectively.
As dinner was really light, papa made a second trip to Changi village to pack some supper. First course was durian chee cheong fun ...
... followed by fried fritters chee cheong fun ...
... cockles for papa ...
... beef noodle for mama ...
... and chilli crab for both to share! As for me, I had grapes, Os and milk for my supper!
Changi Village Hotel
(Pics from Saturday) Papa and me walking to our room ...
Checking the cupboard and safe to make sure that the previous occupant didn't leave anything behind.
Was bribed by new Barney stickers when I had my midday milk. Drank 270ml as a result of that!
Slept till 5pm and almost didn't want to wake up!
After my nap, we went to Changi Village for some food, before going over to the coastal walk. Alas, it started raining after we took this picture!
Since we had to exercise, we went off to the gym instead!
I didn't have to exercise that much, so I spent my time at the gym snacking on a banana =)
While I was engrossed with ingesting calories, papa was busy doing just the opposite!
Took my height and weight at the gym. I'm now 85cm tall and 10.6kg heavy.
My favourite part of the stay ... playing in the tub!
Attempting to splash water at mama, who's at the other side of the glass (excuse the grape in my mouth)!
