Checking out the toddler class
Mama was in school to pick me up as usual yesterday. I decided though, that I wanted to stay behind to check out the toddler class. Look what I found there!
Dragging the telephone gleefully around the class.
Round and round .... round and round till ...
... sun lao shi had to step in to untangle the telephone cord encircling the poor boy in blue.
Look what I found next to the cubicles!
Waaaaaaahhh (*rushing around the classroom trying to sweep the floor*)
Looking very tired after the arduous task had been completed.
Filming session
There was a Channel 8 crew in school yesterday. They were interviewing
lin lao shi for a programme on retirees who have re-entered the workforce. The program should be aired on one of the Tuesday evenings in August 08.
I happened to be awake when the crew arrived at 3.30pm. The crew thought that I looked like a mixed (Chinese/Japanese) baby, so I ended up getting my 60 sec of fame as I was filmed both in the play and feeding area.
Drinking milk in school
I am very fussy when it comes to milk time in school. I refuse to take the bottle and would scream whenever it comes close to me. My teachers have to resort to spoon feeding me my EBM.
Teacher Yin Yee taking the chance to feed me while I am distracted.
Teacher says "One more mouthful, Kaizer".
Doggie says "No more milk please, teacher"!
Teacher Yin Yee was extremely patient with me despite my screams and wails.
* PS: Mama was standing at the transparent door watching the whole 20 min milk drinking session. She didn't want to let me know she's in school yet, otherwise I wouldn't even take a single drop of EBM. *

Visit to the library
Papa wanted to go to JE regional library last Sunday to pick up some science mags. We spent some time at the children's section too. The place was huge, and I had a lot of fun whizzing in and out of the shelves!
Picking out a book about cockcroaches.
Mama was busy tailing behind me, cos she had to pick up all the books that I've grabbed and drop them into the reshelving cart lest somebody needs to borrow them and can't find them on the correct shelf.
Self-feeding
These pics were taken last Sunday. I get to self-feed a lot these days as its a new skill that keeps me sufficiently occupied on my high chair.
I enjoy prodding and poking my dinner, plus picking out the stuff that I like to eat -- carrots and potatoes!
Eyeing my carrot with interest, ...
... before stuffing a whole chunk of food into my mouth.
Self-feeding is very messy. So far, papa has been the one to clean up after every meal. He's more than happy to do so though, provided that meal times are now peaceful and I get to eat my fill.
I'm a happy boy at the end of the meal!

Sleeping in school
Mama dropped by my school last friday to deliver a bottle of EBM. She managed to get a pic of me snoozing on top of my doggie. I'm able to typically nap for up to 2 hours in school now.
Injuries
Early last week, mama noticed that I had a pretty nasty bruise on my right thigh. It got a bit more swollen by the middle/end of the week. She thinks that the bruise probably came from school, with my teachers postulating that I could have knocked myself or have had a hard toy fall on my thigh.
And then late last week, I came home with a bite mark on my left thigh! My teachers explained that I was bitten by a classmate who was teething. Since they witnessed the accident, they were able to apply ice pressure on my thigh to ease the pain.
Shopping
We met up with Claire and her mama at Raffles City last Thursday. Since I'm at the departmental store, I might as well take the chance to check out some girly purrrrrrrrrrrfume.
I look like a real shortie next to SJP.
Picking out a Muji singlet for mama.
Well, she didn't really like it. So while she was busy trying to put it back to the shelf, I decided to play a lil game of hide-and-seek with her!
I was so well-hidden that she took abt a minute before she found me amongst the women's tops.
* Well, in case you're wondering, she did eventually manage to get some real shopping done. She managed to coax me to sleep for 40min in the carrier while she checked out the MNG sale. It's great to be shopping on weekday afternoons as the stores are not as crowded. She managed to browse through the racks quite comfortably, and pick out two tops of the right size before I woke up from my nap! *

Happy Father's Day!
It was father's day last sunday. The three of us headed to Clementi for dinner at papa's fav place.
Here's papa trying to induce me to stick out my tongue at the camera.
No, I shall not comply!
Botak Jones' cajun chix and how's salad for papa ...
Pasta and fries for me and mama ...
Papa and me posing in the dark!

Weekend at Bukit Batok
Now that I am in school for most of the week, I only get to visit my Bukit Batok home during the weekends. These pics were taken during my visit last weekend.
One of the first things that I do when I step into the house is to knock on uncle Lewis' door to inform him that I've arrived. Here's me sitting on his bed and playing with his phone (plus disturbing him from his sleep).
Por por ensures that I get to play inside the bathtub everytime I'm at her place. It's an indulgence cos I don't get to bathe inside the tub very often when I'm at my Dover home.
Here's me relishing the waterplay and enjoying my bath!
One of my fav past time in Bukit Batok is to whiz in and out of por por's kitchen. I love her kitchen cos I get to explore lots of stuff with varying colours, textures and shapes!
Another one of my fav is to press the switches and watch the fan and lights go on, off, on, off ...
I get to visit the supermarket a lot too, since por por needs me as her assistant when she's picking up fresh supplies to cook for the whole family.
Here's me helping por por pick out the freshest veg ...
... the leanest meat ...
... ahhhhhh! I want that strip of Yakult please! (PS: Kaizer loves to fish out the Yakult bottles from the fridge to mouth them, though he can't and hasn't tried the drink before)
* Por por, in case you're reading this, please do something to your camera settings. The pics are very clear, but the dimensions of the pics look a tad too longish *

Picnic at Botanic Gardens
Mama and me were at the Botanic Gardens last Saturday. We were supposed to be meeting up with our friends from the April thread for a picnic at Eco Garden.
But the weather was sooooooooo unforgivingly hot and humid that both of us were drenched in sweat within the first hour.
It didn't help at all that I was grouchy and would wail whenever mama tried to put me down onto the picnic mat.
In any case, we decided to take a walk at Jacob Ballas Children's Garden instead. That was a good decision ...
... for I finally decided to come down from her arms and totter about.
I had fun running about on my own and picking up leaves to eat, while mama and Jesses' mom chatted with each other.
By the time we went back to the picnic, a lot more April babies, mummies and daddies have arrived.
Time for a group pic!
After everyone has left, me and Claire went to the park ranger's office for our milk and morning nap.
We've decided to be naughty and messed up the place instead!
Ha, cute poster! I shall remember to be a considerate walker the next time I visit the Botanic Gardens!
(PS: The group pics were grabbed from Vanessa's mummy. Our pics are not as bright cos ours were taken with mama's 3.2 meg camera phone.)
